On 3rd December 2020, William Blythe was awarded certification for successfully completing the compliance assessment against the Food Safety HACCP System for the use of both potassium iodate and potassium iodide products as food additives. HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) is the internationally recognised operating method that enables organisations in the food industry to identify, evaluate and control food safety hazards. This certification demonstrates William Blythe’s commitment to achieving high food safety standards and will support future growth in these markets.
To attain this approval, William Blythe trained a multi-disciplinary team from the workforce in HACCP principles, which allowed the effective assessment of our potassium iodate and potassium iodide production processes to highlight the Critical Control Points (CCP’s). Thank you to all employees that contributed to this excellent achievement.
