Responsible Care® is the global chemical industry’s unique initiative to improve health, environmental performance, enhance security, and to communicate with stakeholders about products and processes. It commits companies to continuously improve their SHE knowledge and the performance of technologies, processes and products over their life cycles so as to avoid harm to people and the environment. Since its inception in Canada in 1985, Responsible Care® has spread to 60 countries globally, driving companies beyond SHE compliance to higher standards of performance and generating business value.
